Peter 2:21. If we are obedient, even when we suffer for it, we will be
doing His Will. But beware of self-righteousness and pray always that you
don't become a victim of it. If you are obeying God, through Christ as it
is written, God will give you the Power to avoid such inevitable pitfalls,
or at least recover from them. Don't be discouraged when you fall; just pray
always, repent and get back on the track of obedience because God will Forgive
you of your sins. But I digress. Let's go back to His conversation with the
Jews about us being of God and look at it contextually.
First, the Jews only saw Jesus Christ as a man (and they still do to
this day). So the Lord Christ was speaking to them according to what they
were meaning when they took up stones; note verse in John
10:34 Christ said CLEARLY (notice He wasn't speaking in a parable) "YE
ARE GODS..." Christ was referring to what God said in Psalm
82, particularly vs 6.
Twice already you have seen with your own eyes what God has Said with His own Mouth. Who do you believe? What if Christ
said with His own Mouth that God was your Father, say, three times? Would
you believe? What about three times three? Would you then believe? Well, between
Matthew
5:45 and Matthew
7:11 Christ said that God is your Father 15 times. Then to top it all
