in a bottle: and this is yet another one of those ryo and daisuke explanations. it seems quite popular that people think ryo is just another stage of gennai - as he had the old geezer type, and then a younger version that ran around with piemon. i believe it's like this. the four dejimon gods, azulongmon and so on, have a certain special "cloth" they cut these inhuman human-like entities from, which can be classified as a different class of dejimon, or dejital being. gennai was called upon to protect the dejital eggs, and give guidance - and his clones were distributed about the real world. ryo wasn't called on upon, but sliced out of the exact material; this coming from the dreams of one certain

motomiya daisuke. so no - ryo is not gennai, but seemingly the same idea and born of the same flesh, if you will. he was created in a subconscious mind, and the gods found the cloth to use as the main basis for his form to exist in dejitarusei. there may have been some sort of trend with the style of apperance. as ryo is seen floundering about in the himilayan mountains during the diablomon incident, inquiry to my friend was simply replied with, "i guess ryo likes to go on adventures." too true. make sense?

old-timer: i finally got to see "crest of kindness" today, and confirmed that daisuke does say "i thought we'd never see each other again!" anyway, while the dejimon kimeramon is rampaging around, unable to be controlled, one of the things kaiser says regarding the creature is "these kids today have no respect!" now, that is more of just a humorous thing -- although it struck me that with the previous arguments, it is a likely thing osamu would say when faced with someone that was not "obeying" him, like wormmon did, and ken used to. i recall that osamu hit ken when he took "his" dejivice from the desk drawer. also, i noticed that when kaiser is shoved from that evil dejimon, the way he faulters and falls looks strikingly like how osamu's own sillhouette appears when he's hit by the car in ken's flashback. in fact, that entire episode was horribly dubbed - wormmon's original dialogue consists of how ken was kind and wonderful all those years ago (referring to the adventure with ryo), then disappeared, and came back later demanding he be called the kaiser. also, kaiser knew the damn world was real - the dub was trying to make it look like he wasn't ever cruel or evil. he was; most of the comments were
mainly insults (especially from iori) and so on. i need to find translations of what the whole "they're babies!" thing is about, with the memories. oh well. really, ken is quite apathetic when he recieves his crest of kindness, saying he doesn't deserve it, and all. just like my "disloyalty" arguement. the first thing he shouts when coming out of the emperor-induced coma is wormmon, of course. everything was as i thought, yay.

star light: the episode i saw today was "kyoto dragon," and i happened to notice that there is a suitable theory to go along with it. it goes as follows. azulongmon mentions that armor dejivolving was an "ancient" sort of dejivolving, a different sort of path rather than just finding the champion level on one's own (crests were required to go past to ultimate, which explains why the foreign dejidestined -- except wallace -- cannot). the mega god dejimon also goes on to say that kindness was locked/sealed away by the powers of darkness, and was needed to be reconfigured inside the dejimental of miracles, thus the saying "kindness will release the golden radiance." now, when ryo and ken were tramping about the dejital world all those years ago, what if they were in the past? as if after zero-one, the entire world (or maybe certain areas! remember in zero-one, when taichi was in the desert with piximon and went on the quest of sorts; coming across his young self? maybe the desert is prone to going back in time, where ryo and ken were) went back in time to a designation that was considered ancient. therein, ken would have used the dejimental of kindness and ryo the dejimental of miracles (as i have said in past cases). perhaps it was a repeat of zero-two in the sense, where they discover for
themselves how to dejivolve normally, and end up going to champion and on without armor, and thus jogress in later stages. so the powers of darkness sealed this away (maybe millenniumon did in its last moments, since its higher form is a "dejimon god" as said in the cards), or destroyed the 'mental as the chance may have been. so what happened? the goodie gods decided that they needed kindness and miracles back, but it just so happened the former had been destroyed. so they epitomized the crest of kindness into the surviving or reconfigured dejimental of miracles (after all, where was the crest of miracles?). kaiser sought out this package of double energy from the godly force to power his base. we never see the dejimental of kindness in the canon episodes, so it makes sense. after their adventure, maybe the whacked up time frame sped up to the "present day" of sorts. or anything of the sort. and another thought concedes. "millennium" is a term for every 1000 years, yes? so maybe ryo and ken were flung back to the year 1001 while technically in the year 2001 in the real world. thus, millenniumon. the group that gennai says tromped around and saved the world before zero-one could have been ryo and ken, since they'd technically be before zero-one! even though the little shadows or whatever resembled taichi's group, it still makes a lot of eerie sense.

spin me round: everyone knows ryo and ken fought the evil millenniumon in the wonderswan series of tag tamers, while the canon episodes fail to really elaborate upon this point. everyone knows kaiser's two "main" plans were the capture and forceful evolution of agumon, and the entire kimeramon incident. there is a connection between both of these. according to the game cards, it takes only mugen dramon and kimeramon to fuse to form millenniumon. using mugen dramon under special conditions will also form apocalymon, for those interested. now, what prior evolution does mugen dramon come from? it only takes one guess. metal greymon. that's right; the digimon kaiser was so vindictive about catching could again
be influenced to transform into mugen dramon (kaiser succeeded into getting agumon up to ultimate; what more could he have done if given the chance?). from there, it is quite feasible that millenniumon could have been created had kaiser been able ot hold onto both mugen dramon and kimeramon. obviously, things didn't quite work out. also, mugen dramon could have been used to make apocalymon, who was quite a formidable opponent in and of itself. now, where is all this leading? ryo and ken -- oh yes: if you've read this site, you know that there are many occurrences where the timeframe of the dejital world does all sorts of crazy things. this is another one of those plausible times. perhaps ryo and ken were sent forward in time, to an era where kaiser had succeeded in making millenniumon, and were sought out to "set things right" for the timeline. or maybe they were sent to an alternate universe where the dejital destined didn't exist, or had been defeated. and then, perhaps afterwards, the psychological shock (?) of time-travel did something to effect the memories of the persons involved. this explains why ken has a really tough time remembering much from this time period. and since apocalymon could have been formed, perhaps the entire 01 adventure was some sort of twisted view into a possible future for the entire 02 storyline. weird.
