| it is said the kids go to camp in august, in the dub. the "anniversary" date in hikari's journal claims august first [8/1, 8:00 am?] in the original. the kids' saga lasts for three nights (and perhaps four days). during this time, iori views the fight from beside his downed airflight, and daisuke is held captive by the bakemon. the 01 kids fight devimon, vamdemon, venom vamdemon, the dark masters, piemon, and as a finale -- apoclymon. the apocalypse is a belief in an "armageddon" of sorts, as seen in religious faiths. nostradamus predicted the apocalypse would occur summer of 2001. hikari is gained as the chosen child of light through this, as well. after venom vamdemon's defeat, oikawa yukio is possessed by vamdemon at the age of twenty-two, while the children are going back to defeat the dark masters. |
| 2001, september? digital world: 1001? |
| ichijouji ken and akiyama ryo battle millenniumon. the year 2001 is the true millennium, as given meaning in the "evil god" digimon's name. ken takes "osamu's" digivice to achieve entrance to the world, and meets both ryo and wormmon. ken is seeded after millenniumon's defeat. after his return, osamu is killed at some point in a hit-and-run accident orchestrated by oikawa-vamdemon. ken believes he caused it indirectly, howeer at the funeral, oikawa-vamdemon makes "first contact" with the boy with that freaky grin. shortly thereafter, ken recieves an e-mail beckoning him to use the digivice to get to the dark ocean, where both he and it is changed. |
| 2002, march? |
| about six months after 01, the second movie concerning diablomon occurs. it is spring break, although still cold (taichi's long sleeves). inoue miyako and hundreds of others send e-mails to either aid or discourage taichi and yamato in their quest of defeating diablomon. |
| 2004 [ 2005 ], spring - 2005 [ 2006 ], early |
| start of 02 -- and the new chosen -- daisuke, iori, miyako; hikari and takeru lopmon was infected with the diablomon virus or something akin to it; has been staking wallace for about four years, at least by dub standards. in the original, it starts three years after 01 (four years in the dub). if you count the second movie as the true ending of 01, then it is still 2005 nevertheless. daisuke and the 02 cast are called to north dakota during a period of kaiser's reign; later angewomon/angemon's megas make the two golden digimentals of miracles and fate appear. strangely enough, it seems as though these disappear after their initial use. in the dub, daisuke says "i'd thought i'd never see you again!" when magnamon appears after finding the digimental in kaiser's fortress (while battling belial vamdemon, there is no magnemon, which supports the one-time fact: miracles are rare, after all). kaiser is defeated, ken finds himself, and joins the chosen children. movie 4 may or may not take place around august of 2005 [ 2006 ]. |
