DANCES TAKIK - a dance for special celebrations like church weddings, beyas and fiestas. A dance interpreting a courtship. The man will do the 'tayaw' usually spreading his arms like an eagle which symbolize power, strenght, and aggression. The lady will dance the salibi clipping her arms beside her which depicts passiveness and submission. "duh" or is it?? check me if I'm wrong. The dance is accompanied by a some gongs(gangsa), tambol and a talakik. With the movement, the man followed by some instrument men (his company???) sorround the lady, dancing in the middle.
