Artistes: Hylton Collins, Ian Taylor, John Field, Morley Mick
Factoids: This was never meant to be released. It was made for fun, but there came an opportunity... Filmed at St Chads...during a service! Ian did not injure himself in his stunning fall. Ian's make-up took 50 mins, and you don't see it! Morley Mick now lives in Basingstoke
Personal Glimpse: by Ian Taylor Okay, so we had a camera, a coupla hours spare and were in Rochdale. We larked around in a graveyard, with John sporting the most comical make-up in creation. We went home. The footage was put on a shelf never to see the light of day. Then, came a day, when the name Dr Byron was a household word, and I realised "hang on, we invented this character 6 years ago!" So as a spoof of Indiana Jones, and to create a little injoke with the Moonshiners I edited it, titled it, gave it life, and stuck it on with G.Y.N.H.
Fillers: This video release opened with a micky take of Nightfall. Ian was disgusted with the appalling dubbing of that film, and its makers said it was impossible to lip-sync. So, Adlib got its maker, Mr Duerden to so a "certificate" monologue, and then tinkered with the audio, speeding it up, slowing it down , but ending the last sentence bang on. The Video also saw the use of animation, created on an Amiga 600, to do a cheeky "Adlib Productions" Legend. Made by Ian, who went on to do animation for Moonshine's Nightfall.
The Bottom line: If you are not Colin. Eric, Ian, Steve or John, don't waste your time. You won't get the joke. And even if you do, it only raises a wry smile.
Running time: 3 mins approx
A slimline youthful...well its Colin
A frightening apparition, beneath make-up
A prat fall, literally
Let's knock our rivals!
The pained expression says it all
