FILMED: 1991
WRITER: Nigel Peever
DIRECTOR: Nigel Peever
CAMERAMEN: Nigel Peever, John Hatfield, Eric Davies
ARTISTES: John Field, Ian Taylor, Kevin Taylor, Gary Cullen, Stuart Glazebrook, John Hatfield, Su Schofield, Damon Roach, Martin Curtis
Stuart Glazebrook, JohnHatfield, and just who did play the 3rd Voc?
Already the star by 1991, John rests between takes in this easy role.
DOUBLE ENTENDRES: Phwoah! Look at the meat on that!
GOOFS: The bloody wind! Mrs Capel's Yorkshire accent. Mr Capel resembling a Play School presenter Ultravoc? C'mon! Gary Cullen's gurning.
DIALOGUE TRIUMPHS: "These lovely lads need me, don't ya?" "NO"
DIALOGUE DISASTERS: Everyone talking at once. The Classic, "What the fracks that?" Thanks Gary for that one!
FACTOIDS: The location filming took place at the Gun Hut, where Lab 2 was previously filmed. The film was virtually made up on the spot, with no script, just ideas. John Hatfield, played his first role as a Voc, but to his disgust was dubbed!
Business as usual for Eric & Stuart back on the moors they love so much
RUNNING TIME: 7 MINS 49 SECS
The gang rest their voice boxes, before another take of shouting at the same time!
ROOTS: The Robots of Death may have inspired...
CONTINUITY: The costumes and voices of the Vocs is in keeping with the Doctor Who story, The Robts of Death. The story links nicely with the same story.
BEST BIT: Any scene with JohnField in. Magic!
East meets West for the first time!
THIS IS PERSONAL...
THE BOTTOM LINE: A highly enjoyable film to make. Everyone did their best to create a hammy performance. The menace comes form the Vocs, as chilling in their own way as ever, the comedy from the Gang, it would fit neatly next to Horns of Nimon. As a thrown together venture, its quite a feat. To watch today, is a bit tedious, but thankfully short. Can we see a new film with Skunk's gang, please?
I LOVE THE PERFORMANCE OF: Ian Taylor, myself! Why? Because I'm very self conscious when acting, but in this I went so over the top, that I had a whale of a time, and felt relaxed, and confident. "Got the wood, lads!!"
