Woke up early again this morning, with broad sunshine streaming in through the windows. We were down at breakfast again by 10 for more croissants with dulce de leche, before getting ready to go down to Boca.

We knew what bus to catch, but, um, not where they went from. So, after five minutes of fruitless looking at bus stops we hailed a taxi and started the trip down to Boca Juniors ground.

The Buenos Aires marathon was this morning, so we followed the runners through the streets as the driver struggled to navigate his way to the ground, eventually giving up and pointing us further up the street, past the runners.

Considering their "working mans club" image and seemingly tatty stadium, the museum was fantastically plush and well worth seeing. We went on an hour long tour of the ground, around the different stands and the press room before visiting the home dressing room (about four times the size of the one at Newcastle!)

Leaving Boca, we went back to the hotel and then to the market in San Telmo. We had food first in a little cafe whose lack of ketchup let them down before walking through the huge amounts of tat and watching the tango dancers and Gardel statues. After much oohing and aahing, Emma bought a new bag from a market stall.

We then hailed another cab (still easier than finding the bus) and went across the centre of town to the Cemetery at Recoleta where, after some searching and aimless wandering, we came across Evita Perons grave.

Following that, we walk around a shopping centre and then back towards the centre, stopping for an expensive pasta in a restaurant on Santa Fe. Pricey, but worth every centavo for some really, really rich food!

After that, the walk back along the now dark streets to the hotel for a quiet night before heading out to Montevideo tomorrow.
