Bit Cloud: Former junk dealer who
is now a member of Blitz team. Bit was scrounging Leena's Dibison
after it was taken out in a battle with Tiger Team before the battle
was over, and accidentally screwed up Leon's Shield Liger. Not
knowing exactly what to do with him, Blitz Team took him into their
custody until the battle he interrupted could be completed. While
Blitz Team held him prisoner, he somehow connected with their
"useless",and subsequently, decided to join Blitz Team. And the rest
is history...A bit of a glory hound, but most of his hunches
about defeating his opponents have been right so far. Posseses a
unique combination of natural talent and sheer good luck.
Bit's dream was to gather junk parts from all over Zi. Then
one day, when he had enough parts, he would find a Zoid and use
those parts to make it the toughest Zoid out there...a partner to
take on the world with. Of course, he didn't count on running into
Liger Zero. I'd gamble that he's a descendant of Ban and Feene.
Liger Zero: I feel I have to give LZ his own spot
because he really is as much a character as the humans. Forms a bond
with Bit. Somehow they are able to communicate with each other.
While this is kind-of passed-off in the US dubbed series, my guess
is that he had some kind of telepathic link with Bit in the original
Japanese anime.Initially unarmed, except for the "laser
strike claw" attack, LZ shortly gets some added weapons. Unhappy
with Bit's first attempt at adding a Heldigunner cannon to him, he
then accepts a dual shot cannon beneath the neck, and then Doc
Toros' Jager, Schneider, and Panzer interchangeable weapons systems.
These weapons systems prove to be critical in advancing LZ's
fighting capabilities.LZ is also what they have called
an "Ultimate X" Zoid, meaning he has at one time permanently melded
with an Organoid. This makes him generally stronger, faster, and
smarter than non-Organoid-bonded Zoids. Apparently, Ultimate X Zoids
learn from their past mistakes and tend not to repeat them. My
theory is that Liger Zero is the evolved form of Ban's old Blade
Liger (which evolved from his Shield Liger), and that the Organoid
buried deep inside him is probably what's left of Zeeg. Just a
theory, tho.
Brad Hunter: Probably the most seasoned fighter on
Blitz Team. Initially piloted a with Long-Range cannon (much like Irvine's), but later
piloted the Smug, a bit stand offish and snotty. They typical
"anime brooding type" character for this show. A solid fighter, tho,
very skilled. Chicks seem to dig this guy for some reason. Maybe
it's because he looks a bit like Asaba-kun from
Karekano...Won't admit it, but secretly has the hots for
Naomi.
Leena Toros: The Blitz Team slugslinger.
Triggerhappy B**** daughter of Doc Toros. Initially piloted a Dibison
later switched to a heavily modified Gunsniper "Shoot
first and ask questions later", that's Leena all the way. Hot-headed
and impetuous, incredibly competitive, and hates like hell to lose.
Often uses up her ammo too early, then relies on the other Blitz
Team Members to bail her out. Not the most skilled or most
experienced fighter on the team, but...she has her moments (brief as
they may be)Annoying, but really REALLY easy on the eyes.
Looks a lot like her mother, so she's been told
Doc Toros: Leader (or perhaps more accuarately,
sponsor) of the Blitz Team, father to Leena & Leon. Carts
everyone around in the giant snail-like HoverCargo, the Blitz Team
mobile weapons carrier. On the surface, he's a happy-go-lucky,
absent-minded professor type, but can really come up with some
incredible stuff when he sets his mind to it. Doesn't show it often,
but is actually a very VERY smart guy with an extensive knowledge of
all things Zoid. Arch nemesis is Dr. Leyon, who was once his
close friend until a girl (that being Leena's mother) got in the
way. Is still close friends with Jamie's dad Oscar, who along with
Leyon, attended Zoid Academy with Doc years ago. Cares a
great deal for the well-being of his team. Loves to play just a
little too much with his Zoids models...
Jamie Hemeros: Young strategist for Blitz Team. While
he can hold his own in a sanctioned battle, he often stays behind in
the HoverCargo to oversee the performance of the Blitz Team fighters
in their battles and assist them with things they might not be able
to see in the heat of battle. Slightly inexperienced, but he's
learning.Has a tendency toward aerial types...a legacy of
his father, Oscar. Has piloted both Petras and Raynos
Zoids. Under extreme duress, Jamie tends to lapse into his
"alternate personality" the Wild Eagle...a hard-nosed, fearless,
skilled pilot. Jamie usually doesn't recall anything after these
lapses.
Harry Champ & Mary Champ: "The man destined to be king". Leader
of the Champ Team. Son of the head of the massive conglomerate Champ
Corporation. Harry is a spoiled prince with a boundless budget and
an arsenal that shows it. Has access to innumerable different Zoid
types and weaponry. Harry is a skilled fighter, but often lacks
foresight, causing him to lose quite a bit. Is assisted by two robot
servants, Benjamin & Sebastian. Both are
smartasses. Harry has an immense crush on Leena Toros. Of
course, Leena doesn't care, and has at times manipulated Harry's
feelings for her just for her own twisted pleasure. Harry, while a
bit goofy and annoying, is sincere in what he feels, though, and I
can't spite him for that. Harry has a sister, Mary, who is
equally as spoiled, and much more materialistic. Mary disapproves of
Harry's affection for Leena. She initially disapproved of his
participating in Zoid battles, but came around after seeing how much
Harry enjoyed it. She still wants Liger Zero for a lawn
ornament. Harry's Team has utilized a number of different
Zoids for his battles, including a heavily modified Dark Horn, Iron Kong
PKs, modified Cannon Tortoises, Stealth Vipers and Heldigunners.
The Backdraft Group cleaned him out once, but Harry's had no trouble
rebuilding since then.
Naomi Fluegel: AKA The Red Comet. Leader of the
Fluegel Team, and was undefeated until she faced off against Bit and
his Liger Zero. Smart and sexy as hell. Doesn't take kindly at ALL
to being pushed around. Probably a descendant of
Moonbay...Pilots a heavily modified red Gunsniper, equipped
with a special long-range assault rifle. Naomi's typical battle
tactic is to let her teammates occupy the competition while she sits
back away from the battlefield and plinks everyone off one at a time
with her long-range rifle. In her first battle against the
Blitz team she hired two rookie female teammates, Kiyomi and Kazumi,
each with their own Gunsnipers. Kind-of a loner, but
developed a huge crush on Brad after he saved her ass a couple of
times from McNair and his Sand Stingrays Gang from Romeo City. Lucky
Brad...
Leon Toros: Initially the lead warrior for Blitz
Team in his Shield Liger. Left the team after Bit's arrival and
wandered across Planet Zi taking part in many Zoid Battles on his
own. After losing time and again, he wandered out into the desert,
where he met his partner, an incredibly rare red Blade Liger. Life
has been better for Leon since. Currently is teamed up with Naomi
under the Team Fluegel banner. Doc's son...Leena's brother.
Intelligent and thoughtful...was the only Blitz Team member who saw
Bit and Liger Zero's potential.
Oscar Hemeros: Jamie's father, AKA, the original
"Wild Eagle". Specializes in aerial Zoid types. Formely flew a Raynos...now
sticks with Pteras. Longtime friend of Doc Toros (attended Zoid Academy with him
and Dr. Leyon)
Jack Sisco: Mercenary Zoider who pilots a Lightning
Saix. Usually fights for the highest bidder, then takes the
prize money and leaves. Very selective in who he fights for, but was
duped into helping Harry Champ once, which led to Jack's first
defeat (at the hands of Bit & Liger Zero). May seem underhanded,
but is probably an okay guy underneath it all. Served on the
Redfire Lightning Team with fellow Lightning Saix pilots Chris and
Kelly Tasker to compete in the Royal Cup Tournament. Jack and the
Tasker Sisters are apparently the only team to have bested the Blitz
Team so far...
Dr. Leyon: Rogue Zoid scientist. Formerly good
friends with Doc Toros, but now wants him destroyed. Spends time
developing new Zoid technologies to use against Toros. Has operated
independently, but also has sold his serivces to various Zoid teams
as well as the Backdraft group. Putts around planet Zi in
his modified Whale King, gleefully whipping up all kinds of
destruction. Responsible for developing the Shadow Fox fox-type,
which was stolen by Brad after the Shadow Fox destroyed his Command
Wolf. Has a weakness for hot & fresh cup-o-noodles...
Alteil: Chief operative of the Backdraft
Group. Has sponsored numerous programs to further the aims of
Backdraft and eliminate the Blitz Team. As with the rest of the
Backdraft heirarchy, his primary goal is to totally replace the Zoid
Battle Commission with their own Zoid combat system. Eventually, of
course, he'd like to LEAD Backdraft, but he's got to get past the
Committee of Seven first...Proud...hates being usurped. Even
moved against fellow Backdraft member Sarah when he felt the Berserk
Fury program would destroy the Backdraft Group.
Sarah: High-ranking member of the Backdraft
Group. Sponsor (and guardian, I think) of Vega Obscura, and primary
custodian of the Berserk Fury program. Replaced Alteil as Chief
Backdraft Operative in Backdraft's final push to oust the Zoid
Battle Commission during the Royal Cup
Tournament. Intelligent, dangerous, ruthless, cunning.
Willing to take calculated risks to further her aims. Always stays
one step ahead of her rivals. Oh, and she's pretty dang sexy, too.
Captain Stigma Stoller: A high-ranking Backdraft
operative...custodian of their Elephander development program. A
very seasoned and respected Zoid warrior. Formerly retired, but
decided to return to battle after seeing Liger Zero take down the
Elephander. Spared Bit and LZ during an unsanctioned
Backdraft arena battle between Liger Zero and the Elephander.
Shortly thereafter, broke away from the Backdraft Group to be able
to "offically" battle Bit and Liger Zero (but only after heavily
upgrading the Elephander).
Pierce: Backdraft aerial operative. Has
engaged the Blitz Team on two occasions, once piloting a Zabat and
once helming a highly modified Storm
Sworder developed by Dr. Leyon. Was on her way to a high-ranking
position in the Backdraft organization, but left them due to a
conflict of beliefs with their way of battling...Also looks
incredibly nice in poolside gear.
Major Palta: Backdraft operative, and leader of
their Gold Team. Has fought with Blitz Team on several occasions. A
competent fighter, but just a bit overconfident in his own
abilities. Arrogant also. Is either a close cousin of, or
shops at the same Sunglass Hut as, Snake Oiler.
Vega Obscura: Young but gifted Zoid warrior fighting
for the Backdraft Group. Has no real loyalty to Backdraft...just
enjoys going out and battling. Not mean spirited, actually a
friendly kid. Incredibly skilled fighter for his age. Spends a lot
of time training. Tires quickly of far less skilled
opponents...longs for a difficult challenge to his fighting
abilities. Chosen by Sarah as the pilot for the Beserk Fury in the Royal Cup Tournament. At some point, I want to say I
heard him referred to as a prince, but I can't recall. Yes,
he DOES bear more than a passing resemblance to
Raven...
Beserk Fury: The Zoid no one can defeat...loaded
with power and piloted by a smart-as-a-whip young warrior, Vega.
Appears to be a member of the GenoSaurer and GenoBreaker family
tree, as it is physically very similar to the two. Probably an
offshoot of the old DeathSaurer Revival Project in some way.
Like Liger Zero, BF is an "Ultimate X" Zoid, meaning it has
at one time permanently melded with an Organoid. This makes it

Chris & Kelly Tasker: The Tasker Sisters, AKA The Redfire
Lightning Team. Both Pilot Lightning Saix cheetah types. Both are
very competent, very skilled pilots who know the limits of their
Zoids. Recruited fellow Lightning Saix pilot (and all-around
mercenary) Jack Sisco for their team in a bid to improve their
standing with the ZBC. The Tasker Sisters were tough enough to begin
with, but with Sisco on their team, they have become quite
formidable indeed. Both are always up for a good game of
cards, but unfortunately, not strip poker.
The Tigers Team (Fuzzy Pandas): Zoid Team consisting of three Saber
Tigers. Led by a fighter named Kirkland...other members are Omari
and Lineback. A decent team when they can get their act together.
The first team to face off against Blitz Team after Bit
signed on with Liger Zero. After their handy defeat by the Blitz
Team, these guys had a run of bad luck. Teamed up with Dr. Leyon in
an effort to get back on a winning streak, but...we all know what
happens to you when you team up with Leyon...Originally
called themselves the Tigers Team...changed their names to the Zaber
Fangs...and somewhere along the way became known as the Fuzzy Pandas
Team.
The Sand Stingrays: A hot rod Zoider gang based in the
desert near Romeo City. Led by a cat named McNair. All members pilot
Sinker ray-type Zoids, and each is customized to reflect the tastes of its
pilot. Think "biker gang" doing their thang with armed 27-ton flying
tanks...Two members of the Stingrays (Keyshon ,Jupon)
had a run in with Blitz Team and Naomi, which led to an even larger
confrontation involving the entire gang.
