Final Fantasy X

The other Final Fantasy games get blown away by the 10th and newest installment of Final Fantasy from SquareSoft. New GF's and some returning favorites such as; Ifrit, Shiva, and Bahumut. A new magic system called "The Magic Table" It works to where you must learn a first level attack before learning a second level magic. Like you must learn Fire before you can learn Fira, and to learn Firaga you must have learned Fire and Fira. This can take some time to get used to but in the end it is worth it. New Limit Break type techniques like Overkill which is what the name sounds like it means adn you kill the oponent over the amount of their remaining HP. Overdrive is similar to regular Limit Breaks.The main character is a spiky haired teen named Tidus. He plays Blitzball which is a sport played underwater. You can play this during the game as an in-game mini-game, but it can take away from the main goal of the game. You can switch characters Mid-Battle. The FMV sequences are spectacular and they now have voice actors to do them. No more prerendered backrounds which means no pause in between FMV sequences and the regular game which takes place in the same place you are during the game. And the Chocobos return as well. i must say great job SquareSoft.

Sound=9.5 The music matches the game mood, Controls=8.5 they can get confusing at times, Graphics=10 The Real-Time FMV is awesome, Gameplay=10 Over 20+ hours of game time, Fun Rating=10 If you like the previous Final Fantasies you'll like this one.
