Hello there, my article is on how to care for your neopet. My opinion is that your neopet should be like your real pet at home. Don't ever starve or neglect it! I, myself, treat my neopets like they are my own children and I spoil them rotten! Here are a few tips on how to keep your neopet healthy, happy, and calling you 'the best owner ever.' First: the most important thing you have to do is KEEP YOUR PET FED! Do you starve your real animals? I don't think so! And if you do, you need some serious help. If you are new, and can't afford food, go to the Tyrannian Plateau and get yourselft some free omelette. You can get a free piece every day and it feeds your pet 3 times. Remember, you have to keep your pet well-fed or it WILL die. If you aren't serious about taking care of your pet, then you need to put it up for adoption so that someone who will love it and take care of it can get it. Second: Your pet needs to be groomed. You don't let your real animals walk around smelling like a dumpster with knots in their fur, now do you? I didn't think so. What you need to do is go to the grooming parlor or just look on the shop wizard and get the necessities such as: toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, towel, and shampoo. My pets like to be bathed and combed everyday. I suggest you do this to yours as well. Third: I spoil my pet very much, but you have to have a few toys for your pet to play with. If you have no toys, then your pet will be very, very unhappy. My pets have about 5 toys each (and I have 4 pets) so I know that you can get your pet at least 1 or 2 toys. Play with them everyday and you will become the 'best owner ever'. Your pets will tell you which is their favorite toy and if they want more toys. Try buying them a new toy every once and a while. Maybe sell the old ones and buy some new ones just so they don't get bored. Fourth: Your pet needs an education. Buy him/her plenty of books to read. My pets love to read, so they are always wanting books. I try and buy at least 1 book for each pet everyday so they will be very smart. If you are in the HYN guild, then you can get a free book from the NeoSchool every 2 weeks. You may not have the money to buy your pets books everyday, but try to get them one every so often. Also, you need to train your pet, especially if you want him/her to battle. Get a codestone and send him/her to the training school on mystery island. Codestones are usually about 2-3,000 neopoints each, but if you enter the competitions that the guild holds, then you may win one. You can also wish for a codestone from the Gift Tree. You might get lucky and your wish may be granted. Also, if you can't afford a codestone just yet, you can go to Coltzan's Shrine and if you are lucky, he may give your pet some strength, defense, or speed. Give it a try! Fifth: Always try to buy your pet a gift or treat every once and a while. Your pet loves you and you should reward them when they are good. I get my pets a gift almost everyday. Mine, for instance, like toys and chocolate! Try buying your pet a piece of chocolate from the chocolate factory just to show him that you love him. Okay, that about sums it up. Those are the main points of taking care of your pet. Like I said before, if you aren't serious about taking care of your pet, then don't create/adopt one. It isn't fair to that poor pet and it doesn't deserve to be starved or neglected. Love and cherish your pet because a pet is a friend for life. |
