Making Loads of NP With Your Shop

By daddysgirl22398

Have you ever wondered where all of these neopians make their loads of np? Think they get it all from becoming grand masters at the games and getting lots of neopoints? If you think this, then you are wrong my friend. I am here to give you a few tips on how to make your shop very high quality. Most neopians make their millions by having great shops.

I have been playing neopets a little over 6 months now and believe me, I've definitely been poor. I started out having to take my pets to the soup kitchen quite frequently because I could not afford to buy them any food. I was wasteful with my money, then I discovered that I could make tons if I only invested in a shop. I started a shop and upgraded it so that I could stock quite a few items, now I had to figure out what I wanted to stock.

I started out with just the basic things that I had or collected such as tombola boobie prizes, healing potions, etc. This did not work out well for me and I wasn't making much, seeing as the tombola boobie prizes only sell for about 1 neopoint. I started snooping around and found out that the chocolate factory sold most of their chocolate for really low prices but they sold on the market for loads! I then figured out what I was going to invest in - chocolate! I invested in chocolate about, oh, two months ago, but I let my shop kind of go down the drain. I wasn't focusing only on chocolates and I wasn't trying very hard to get my hands on any chocolate either. About 3 weeks ago, I started focusing on getting only chocolate and since then, I've made over 100,000 neopoints. I learned how to find out which things sell good and which didn't. For example, I bought some milk chocolate nimmos for about 80 neopoints, then I got ready to sell them and they only sold for about 150np! That was not the best profit ever, but I learned not to buy those much anymore. I started buying things like milk chocolate aisha's and mint chocolate things and they sold for quite a bit of neopoints. Here are some pointers on making a good shop.

The first key to having a good shop is to not make it too big just yet. If you can't supply enough merchandise to stock your shop, then there was no point in wasting those neopoints that you spent to upgrade that you could have spent on merchandise. Keep it small. After you start making money and get ready to add more stock, then upgrade SLOWLY! Don't spend too much because you want to spend most of your money on your supply, not the size of your shop. Again, there is no point in having a lot of shop space if you have nothing to fill it.

Second, I would recommend putting a background, maybe some music, into your shop. This makes it less boring and it will bring more neopians to your shop (for tips on how to use html, check out the HelpYourNeopet Guild's webpage). Don't put too many backgrounds and songs and such because it slows down loading time which means that customers are going to get tired of waiting and go on to someone else's shop that doesn't spend hours loading.

Third, do what I did and snoop around for the best investment for you. You can do magic items, toys, chocolate, donuts, anything you want, but make sure it sells well. Check how much the shops sell it for and then check how much it sells for on the market. If it sells for less on the market than it does in the shop, then I would advise you NOT to invest in that particular item!

After you find what type of item you want to invest in, start stocking up on it. Try and find the best prices. Sometimes you can look on the market and find some people that did not price their items well and you can snatch it up and make a great profit. I do this quite often.

Anyway, stock up on your item and put it in your shop. When pricing, check the shop wizard and go by the lowest price you find (unless of course it is priced way too low). It is up to you whether you want to price it a little lower than the lowest price or a little higher than the lowest price. I usually price it a tad bit higher, but it is your choice.

If you follow all of these instructions, then you can sit back and watch the neopoints flow in. Don't forget to keep your shop stocked up though because if you let it go down the drain, then people are going to take their business else where.
