Corky is the largest female orca at sea world cali. In her life she has experianced seven unsuccsessful pregnacies. The longest one that one of her calves had lived was 46 days. Her name was kiva. All of her dead calves were fathered by Orky 2. Since she doesn't have any calves of her own, she mothers the young orcas that are transported to sea world california, to await shipment.
She mothered Sumar, Keet, Keto, Orkid and Splash. She was captured on 12/1969 and shipped away from her mother Stripe/A23 who past away in 2000, her bothers Oskillo/A27 and Fife/A60 and her sisters Ripple/A43 and Midsummer. orkid is also related to corky. she is either corkys cousin or neice. She was shipped to Marine World California. There she lived with Orky2. Years later she and Orky2 were shipped to Sea World Cali. she was also the first orca bjossa had seen <since finna died> a few days after her arrival in april of 2001. corky is also blind in one eye which was caused by orkids mother kandu5. |
