| sumars name is the icelandic version of summer. he was born 5-14-98. his parents are taima and tillikum and his grandparents are gudrun and kanduke(who are no longer living). couse of sumars grandfather kanduke he is a hibrid of one quarter transient orca. sumars only full blood sibling is tekoa born on 11-8-00, but he has many half siblings. his half brothers are kayuquet, taku, and tuar. his only half sister is unna. couse his mother was so young when she gave birth to sumar she was nervous and didnt know how to care for him, so she acted aggressively toward him. when they were seperated from each other sumar stayed in a holding tank for display until he was moved to sea world cali on 3-8-99 with keto. there corky cared for him. she treated him as her own. he would swim under her body and stay close to her all the time. also during the shows he would preform with corky often.corky had also tought him the habit of swimming upside down when passing the time. tp say it bluntly she is the mother he never had. takara and orkid are his acting big sisters. takra seems to be very interested in sumar and plays with him often. when corky isnt aroung or is busy orkid takes care of sumar she also enjoys playing with sumar. when keet, keto, and sumar where moved to sea world ohio on 4-15-00 keet and sumar became close to each other and are now like best friends. on 2-18-01 they were sent back to cali where he was reunited with his adopted family. sumar loves to watch people and play with them through he glass. and at the age of 3 or 4 he is still learning the tricks for the show, he may not do them right, right now but he tries his hardest and soon he will have them down. when bjossa was alive sumar took quite a likeing to her and swam under her the same he does with corky. |
