More New Guys

Over recent weeks there has been a mass influx of new blood into the Donkeys. More Bradford lads, Duncan, George and Jordan. Paul who read about us in the paper, and a few Batley Bulldogs fans who i believe Chris and Andy tricked into coming training with us. Add this to a couple of Shaw Cross lads and numbers are looking rather healthy.

This was evident in training last week when we had an asounding 26 players at one point.

Donkeys Fight Bravely

Although the scoreline against Sheffield might look rather bad, personally i thought we put in one of our best defensive performances. About 6 or 7 new faces in the team meant this was never going to be easy. With some questionable decisons made by a very decisive referee the Donkeys at one point held on their own tryline for about 4 or 5 sets before eventually been broken down. In time fitness and injuries once again got the better of us, but with even more new players set to play against Wigan maybe we can once and for all beat our arch rivals.

A full match report will appear shortly.
