The farm is located in a little valley which to the east sharpens like an
awl, but it is not known if the name origins from this. Old people have
told that it has been found silver in the surroundings, and some think
that the farm name has its origin from this.

Leding = Leidang = warfare 3 skil(ling), work-money 6 skil(ling), graintemth 1 quart, cheese- and cattletenth 2 skil.
Tenth in 1718 : Tax and size 1/4 hide goat, the places 2 1/2, Graintenth 7 1/2 skil(ling), cheese- and cattletenth 2/3 skil(ling)
The tax list (Matrikkelen) 1723 : 1 leaseholder, tenant- tax 0-2-12,allodial tax 0-0-8, warfare 0-0-3, tenth 0-0-21.
Main census 1769 : Tosten and his wife Sissel - 2 poor farm users.
The 1801census : Tommes Jensen, housefather, age 32, farmer, m.t.Anna Olsdtr. age 20, both in their first marriage, hired hand Jens S�rensen age 12.
The tax list (Matrikkelen) 1802 : 1 leaseholder, grain 1 1/4 barrel (5foll), 1/8 barrel potatoes (8foll), two cows, 4-5 sheeps. Value pr. hide 100 rd (riksdaler).
