The House Inside |

If the image of your "dream kitchen" includes a raised brick hearth with wood-burning stove, authentic exposed beams, custom-designed cabinets, a nine-foot window with a breathtaking four-season view......combined with state-of-the-art cooking and production features, wake up! The eat-in kitchen is the heart of the house: warm and inviting and outfitted for entertaining. The dining room/family room is two steps down, with its own entrance and brick-hearth fireplace. Start writing out the invitations!
In an old house, storage is at a premium. We built a pantry that starts on the landing to the basement steps and keeps on going. Not an inch of space is wasted!
The library is small in size but BIG in impact! Custom-built shelves house our books, art and collections of ceramics and depression glass. Base cabinets below the countertop store everything from camera equipment to crafts, games and photos. You'll be cozy here!
There are three bedrooms and two full baths upstairs. When we had the house re-sided in 2003, we added a room above the Mud Room: a bonus room, we've been using it for an office.
And the extra bathroom really adds flexibility. It has a gorgeous cobalt-blue ceramic tile floor. Everything else is white. You'll be able to spark it up with lots of complementary colors and finishes. |
