| My mother (6)has been around a lot since Emmalee was born and she moved to the High Desert. We left Emmalee's Dad on July 1st, 2000, (7,8) and I found out a few days later that she was going to be a big sister. Emmalee was very excited about having a little sister and she even got to go to the baby shower(9)! Jennie was born on February 12th, 2002, and Emmalee was so happy to be a big sister of another little girl(10,11)! |

| Emmalee learned how to talk, crawl and walk at a pretty early age and she had a lot of help from her big brother,(1) Matthew. They would hang out like they had been friends forever and rarely fought(2). Of course, that changed as they got older (haha). Emmalee was fascinated at the world around her and I relished in being able to teach her--My first daughter(3,4)! Emmalee met my father in 2000(5), when he came out from West Virginia. I had not seen him in 20 years, and we haven't seen him or his family since then. |

| Emmalee's First Day of Kindergarten(12) was extremely exciting for her. I curled her hair up like Shirley Temple's and she was looking forward to meeting her new teacher, Ms. Macy(13). As you can see, it was a great day! |
