See, a lot of people do not know this, but the reason God made man was to till the ground. There was no one to till the ground. That is what the Word says. The word "till" means: to cultivate. God made man.
)26 "And God said, Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
)27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him: male and female created he them." (Genesis 1:26,27)
And He made Adam in the very image of God. Adam had no earthly father. God was his Father. "Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself but he sent me." (John 8:42)
The first man Adam that was created by God from the dust of the ground, and the second man Adam - Jesus Christ the Word made flesh, were both fathered by God Himself.
God made Adam from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul "(Genesis 2:7) God told him to replenish the earth. I don't think we have the foggiest idea of just how big this God, who we are serving, really is. Somewhere in the vastness of His knowledge, and before He ever made the world, He had a kingdom prepared for a people. And in the very vastness of his foreknowledge and his determination in that knowledge, there was a dead man hanging on a cross.
