Jesus is the only person in the history of the universe's existence that is God's own image. "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by himself purged our sins, set down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;" (Hebrews 1:3)
God is getting ready to reveal the whole revelation and the manifestation of the Sons of God. Adam was made out of the dust of the ground and was called the son of God. That means that God was not ashamed to call Himself the Father of that which He had made. Adam was made perfect. He was made intelligent. He was filled with the knowledge of God.
The pattern from whence that body of the first man Adam was made, was in the very mind of God and was called the own image of God. He did not just say, let us make man in our image. He said, "In our own image." "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creep eth upon the earth."(Genesis 1:26) And God made man in His own image. The only image He claimed. The only body God ever claimed to be His own. So Adam was the first son formed. He had no earthly father. Jesus had no earthly father. Adam was formed from the dust of the ground. His very life came right out of God. When God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, he became the figure, the forerunner of the One to come.
