"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John1:14) There was no way that Jesus could die, until the Spirit of the Father caine out of His body. Prior to this, Jesus had said, "You think I'm alone. I am not alone." "And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him." (John 8:29) When they nailed Jesus' hands to the tree (The Cross), the Father was still in Him. When they hung Him on the cross, the Father was still in Him, and He stayed there in that body as the blood dripped and ran. Until the sun refused to shine, the earth began to tremble, and darkness at noontime covered the earth; then out of that body came the same One that walked in the garden in the cool of the day. "And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden." (Genesis 3:8) That same God who walked in the garden was an invisible being. He was not flesh; He was Spirit. He was the Word - the Spirit Word. Not the written Word, not the spoken Word, but the Word -Spirit. He had an image. If there was no image, why did He conceal Himself in that burning bush? )2 "And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. |
