This body must die or be changed. There is no way out of it. The body must go back to the dust. That is where it came from and that is where God said it had to return. "In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." (Genesis 3:19) "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." (John 11:25) I don't know how He did it, but He went all the way back to Adam and all the way forward to the last person born in this world, and reconciled in Himself every person of that Adam descent who will believe on Him. "For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. "(Romans 5:10) "And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation." (II Corinthians 5:18) )20 "And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. )21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled?" (Colossians 1:20 & 21)
God himself bore our sins. "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;" (Hebrews 1:3) There was no one in the first man Adam's race that could do this; so there had to be another man. "And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon." (Revelation 5:4) |
