How could He say that He was the resurrection, if He was not raising something up that fell? Why do you think He told John, that once "He was dead, but now He 's alive for evermore?" "I am He that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death." (Revelation 1:18)
This world is getting ready to find out exactly who this second Adam really is. Because the first Adam was of the earth and he was earthy. "The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven." (I Corinthians 15:47) The first man Adam came from the dust, went to a body of flesh that was made from dust. Adam failed and went back to the dust and his spirit went back to God. Those people who had not sinned after the similitude of Adam when death reigned from Adam to Moses, had no record kept of their sin. )13 ("For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. )14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come." (Romans 5:13 & 14)
It is very important that you understand, that if you are one of those that has part in this first resurrection on such the second death has no power. "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years." (Revelation 20:6) This thing comes to a fine line. It comes to a division. All of those people who are in Christ shall live. But all of those people who have not come into Christ shall die once and twice. The flesh shall die and you shall die spiritually and eternally in the lake of fire. |
