Kicking out the jams: here comes the astonishing thriller The uknown

"Astonishing! That's the perfect word to describe this seven-minutes outstanding brazilian production "The Uknown". Brilliant performances, audacious camera moves, and most of all, the singular themes: who in this end of century isn't concerned with such important questions like black magic, onanism, sinew diseases and even...love. Beautiful movie!"

Why the hell aren't they british??

"Bloody Hell! Why these guys have to be born right in that miserable country called Brazil? The United Kingdom needs talented filmmakers like the ones that directed, wrote and acted in 'Placid Hugh's: Thee Uknown'. Probably the most expressive 430 seconds of all history of cinema. The dialogues have a Charles Bronson's sensibility and the plot leads to an unmatchable ending. Kubrick may be dead, but the nature of his movies are pretty alive in 'Thee Uknown'".

Macaquitos geniales

One foot to reach Hollywood

"They're almost reaching out. The crew that made "The Uknown" come out for life, have nice conditions to explode in Hollywood. They showed that in the matter of making cult-movies, it's piece of cake. Very near of the danish concepts of Dogma, the producers brought to South America the essence of the european vanguard. Why can't they do it here in True America? In a special session, directors pointed their oppinion to this movie: It should have a little bit more of blood and shots (Quentin Tarentino), It's brilliant. But they should work with, at least, 85 characters (Robert Altman), Some framings look very wierd, I like that. But if they ended with a song of Bono Vox, I would like yet more (Wim Wenders)."
