Mission Statement

For me books have always been dear friends and I have fond memories of my early years in my local public library. Professionally, I desire to gain my Master of Science in Library and Information Science, School Media Specialization from Syracuse University and then work in the library field in school libraries and public libraries in any way I can. My specific academic interests reside in school libraries and in the preservation of books. My future plans in libraries include work in the public sector especially in school libraries.

- A Listserv created to connect school librarians from around the country and world. They also have an archive that is fully searchable.
• S.O.S. for Information Literacy
- A resource for teacher librarians to find lesson plans and bUilders for use in school library media programs.
• In the First Person
- A excellent free resource for primary source research, includes Oral and Written history from the 1860s to today.
• New York City Library System
- Every New York State Resident can request a NYC library card to access their databases and other online resources.
