The Piss-iden Adventure I & II

Shortly after moving in, we started having plumbing / water issues.
First, the water supply to the washing machine was leaking.  As soon as we got that resolved,
we had the Piss-iden Adventure I.

Karen came home to a squishy carpet.  We opened the bathroom door to find the toilet overflowing.
There was a quater of an inch of water on the floor!
It had soaked into the carpet and made the hall outside the bathroom wet.
Fortunately, it was clean water and didn't soak all the way through the carpet.
We were able to suck the water up with my carpet cleaner and all was well until

Piss-iden Adventure II

For some reason when I flushed the toilet it was slow to drain and almost overflowed.
So I shut the water off and waited for it to go down.
When the water had gone down, Rob plunged the toilet until he thought it was good, and turned the water on.
Half an hour later, I'm talking on the phone, and walk by the bathoom.
There's a quarter of an inch of water in the hall!
I opened the bathroom door to see standing water!
It was so deep that it coverd the tops of my feet as I walked through it to turn the water off.
This was poopy water too ... ewwwwww
It seems that someone (who shall remain nameless) flushed a dog turd wrapped in paper towels!
We tried to suck the water up with my shop-vac and carpet cleaner.
We cleaned the carpet and soaked it with Nature's Miracle.
Then we decided that it was hopeless and would mildew.
We pulled the carpet up and put down peel and stick tiles.
I think they look great, so much better then the vinyl and carpet that was there.
So it was a happy ending.
