THE HOUSE
The zoo has moved! We've moved to a much larger house on almost 3 acres nearer to my parents. Here are a few pictures, these are just from the realtor's website. For more and more revealing pictures, click on the link at the bottom. As soon as we finish getting moved in (and I finish the painting ... yes, I'm still painting!), that link will take you to "after" pictures.

Here is the view from the front, the house is set in the middle of the lot so there is a giant front yard too. It's rather new, so the trees are still quite young. Some of them have died, and most of the maples have horribly branched trunks that require some training and taming, and they may have to be replaced.

We also have a nice, large deck out back. Unfortunately most of the deck boards need replaced, but they'll make it at least another season. I kind of think that this is an older picture, because the plants around the deck are nowhere near as nice and trim looking as that picture shows. They are mums also much much larger, they are nice though, and next year they'll look awesome. They were nice this fall, but they're all random colors and totally wild!
Inside, we have 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 2 living rooms (I never understood why people did that, we're using one as a dining room and one as a dog crate area. Here are a few pictures of some of the more interesting features of the inside.

Here is the "family room" that we're going to use as a large dining room / gaming room. We're happy to finally have room to sit around to play board games, do craft projects and even eat dinner together.
Here is the kitchen. It's a nice size, so much more convenient then the other house we lived in. There's also an island in the center. (I really like islands.) This one has the dishwasher and sink in it as well as storage below. We've gone from no counter space to plenty.

These two are both from the master bath. It's got a nice vanity and a garden tub. It's a huge step up from the last house, with the slippery shower of doom and then the creepy run down shower in the basement.
