This is what we look at in order to let you in. Don't make us look at it and think "Hey, this person has bad spelling, crappy grammar and uses net speak the whole way through." A few mistakes are understandable, a whole lot are not. So. Try to proper grammar, spelling and punctuation (except in speech) and thoroughly think your character through. They will not tell you that you can or can not do something, unless it seems gratuitous or against the rules. Original characters are allowed. Having said that, be reasonable about it. Mary Sues and Gary Stus will go through the shredders. Canon Characters are also allowed. HOWEVER, applications for canon characters will be examined very closely and less likely to be approved the first time. Don't be discouraged if we disapprove of your "Harry Potter" the first time, try again. If you try to slip in something like a... "thinks-of-harry-as-a-son!Snape" not only will we not approve, we'll make fun of you. No crossover characters. No Gandalfs, No X-Men, No Sabrinas, No Buffys. None. No taking characters from another show/book/movie/comic and dumping them into the game. When you apply: You're welcome to contact a mod over AIM and let them know that you sent in an application. We'll check the email. We'll try to do this at least once a week. Then, wait. Give us time to look over your app and decide. Then we'll email you with news. When you're accepted: (and not until then) Make your character's journal. Join the game. Let an mod know that you need in and we'll give you your posting access. Make sure you add EVERYONE to your friends list. All the other players. Then, have fun. |
