UD:
Are there any plans for you and Quintron to do some more Drum Buddy Badass stuff in the near future?

T:  The BADDASS material has evolved to a new HIGHER level. I believe my role in DRUM BUDDY BADDASS has served it's purpose.

UD:
Without giving any real secrets away, could you give us some idea of how you generally put songs together? Your material is so layered and complex, it's definitely a curiosity.

T: Sampling and live feeds.

UD:
Who would you cite as major influences to what you're doing musically? What do you listen to when you're not rockin' the people yourself?

T: Here is the list of those whom have had an effect on me. I'm sure there are some that I am overlooking. There are always more, too: Alice Cooper, Al Green, Apperatus, AJ Croce, Arthur Doyle, Bebe & Serge, Barney LOVE, Baby Rosebud Booker, Biz Markie, Butthole Surfers, Bobbby Redbeeet, Big Boys, Bordoms, California King Bhinda Jat, Capt. Beefheart, coin, couch, dj bisquittino, Disco Rick, Duarte 6, Demolition Doll Rods, Deck Bar Doolies, DOO Rag, Easy organ, el Tonio, ELO, Ella Fitzgerald, esg, Ernie K-Doe, Flossie and the Unicorns, Funkadelic, Frogs, Freddy Fender, FUCKEMOS, Rev. UD:
How long did it take you to arrive at playing the style of stuff you do? Have you gone through much of an evolution musically, or did you just come out of the womb able to produce the original flavor you do?

T: My folks were always listening to music and dancing and stuff--growing up on the beach, they called it shag music. I chose KISS as my first purchase in '73 on 8 track, then Alice Cooper. As time went on...I started fooling with punk rock in '79--listening to Ramones, Voidoids, etc. Then, west coast punk started creeing into the sound of the kitchen party band I was playing in (Germs and so on )--lots of stuff got broken then. Heavy metal for a while--SLAYER, etc. From there, to the socially/politically aware DKs/Bad Brains/discord influences. Then, to the thumpin' with PE, til I was hooked on the bomb squad techniques of splicing the majority of the aforementioned influences and more. Then, to being satisfied with the inner sanctum of........well you see where this is going.

UD:
I think one of the things that makes your music so endearing is the great sense of humor it contains. How important do you consider this aspect of what you do?

T: Humor is absolutely crucial! Especially if you're into having a good time. Too much strict anal-ization will just leave one frustrated and hating--perhaps that's a good time for some people.

UD:
I'll never forget how blown away I was the first time I heard Robot Alien or Ghost. Now that some time has passed, are you able to look back and recognize what a brilliant work it is, or is it hard for you to grasp how special it is being on the inside of it?

T: It was a blast, it was first. I still have fond LAUGHING OUT LOUD STYLE memories of making it and...occasionally, I will hear it on the radio. Someone even popped it in the player at work late, late one night and it made it through the whole play. It still feels good to hear it, every now and again. I don't play it, though.
