Paul Hourigan, aged 82 years, died at his home near Riley, in the eastern part of the county, Saturday evening, of cancer.  He was buried Monday morning at Haysville cemetery.  The services will be conducted by Rev. Robert  Purdom.  He is survived by 7 children, 4 sons and 3 daughters, all married.  The sons are
Joe, Debo, Ray and James, and the names of the daughters are, Mrs. Joseph Funk, of Washington Co., Mrs. John Edwards, of Wilmore, and Mrs.  Charles Mills, of the county.  His wife is preceded him to the grave several years ago.  He is also survived by two brothers and one sister, namely, James Hourigan, of Mercer Co., and Appollus Hourigan and Mrs. Hardin Pipes, of  this county.  Mr. Hourigan was one of the pioneer citizens of this county.  Commencing life a poor boy, he cultivated habits of thrift and industry and soon accumulated a considerable estate.  Honest in his dealings and correct in his  business habits, he was consulted by his associates, and his good judgment was highly respected by those who knew him.  The Enterprise joins with his many friends in expressing sorrow at his death and in extending to the family  sympathy in their great bereavement.
