| Mary Frances (Whitehouse) Green Born 4/9/1917 Died 3/22/1943 Daughter of William McKinley Whitehouse & Dora Ann Edwards Wife of W. S. 'Shady' Green Lebanon Enterprise, 3/26/1943 DIES IN ALABAMA, FUNERAL HELD HERE Mrs. Mary Frances Whitehouse Green, 25, formerly of this county, wife of William S. Green, died Monday morning at 7 o'clock at a hospital in Montgomery, Ala., where she had made her home for the past three months. She had been at the hospital for a month and had been in failing health for two years. Mrs. Green, who was a daughter of Mrs. Dora Whitehouse of Riley, formerly lived in that community and had many friends here. Surviving besides her husband and her mother, are four sisters, Mrs. Ray Burris of Lebanon, Mrs. James Wilson of Louisville, Miss Geneva Whitehouse of Montgomery, Ala., and Miss Juanita Whitehouse of Riley; and two brothers, W.J. Whitehouse, U.S. Navy, and Charles T. Whitehouse of Riley. The body was brought Tuesday to the home of her mother and her aunt, Miss Nola Whitehouse. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock at the Hayesville Baptist Church, by the Rev. Charles Ellis of Forkland, and burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Hobert Whitehouse, J.R. Whitehouse, James Wilson, Ray Burris, Robert Green, Jr., and W.B. Rexroat. |
