Mr. Willie Whitehouse was stricken with apoplexy Monday morning.  He died at 5:00 the same afternoon.  He is survived by his wife and seven children, five daughters and two sons.  Also several sisters and brothers.  Funeral took place at Haysville Church.
Gravel Switch
Mr. Willie Whitehouse of Riley was stricken early Monday morning with a cerebral hemorrhage and died at 5:00 in the afternoon the same day.  He was 41 years old and a member of the Haysville Baptist Church at which the funeral took place Wednesday morning at 11:00.  Survived by his wife and 7 children, the youngest being only a few months of age.  He was the son of the late Mr. Joe Whitehouse.  He is also survived by several brothers and sisters.  The family has the sympathy of the entire community.         
RILEY FARMER IS TAKEN BY DEATH W.M. WHITEHOUSE DIES SUDDENLY AT HOME MONDAY AFTERNOON
Funeral services for William M. Whitehouse, who died suddenly at his home at Riley Monday afternoon at 5:00 o'clock, were held Wednesday morning at 10:00 o'clock at the Haysville Baptist Church with the Rev. T.J. Porter, pastor of the Lebanon Baptist Church, in charge.  A large crowd of sorrowing relatives and friends were present.  Interment was in the church cemetery.  The pallbearers were six nephews, Grover Lanham of Aliceton, Joseph Graham of Louisville, Joseph and H.G. Rexroat of Lebanon Junction and Lingle Whitehouse of this city.  Mr. Whitehouse's death was due to cerebral hemorrhage, which he suffered earlier the same day.  He had been in his usual good health up until the time of being stricken, and news of his passing came as a profound shock to every one who knew him.  A son of the late Joseph and Martha Hourigan Whitehouse, both deceased.  Mr. Whitehouse was born April 1, 1892, in this county and had spent all of his life in this vicinity.  In early manhood he was united in marriage to Miss Dora Edwards, daughter of the late Tom Edwards of Riley, who survives him.  He was formerly a fireman for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad Company, running between Louisville and Corbin, but for the past few years he had been engaged in farming.  He was a fine citizen and was well liked by all his acquaintances, Mr. Whitehouse, who was a faithful member of the Baptist Church, was a Mason, being at the time of his death a member of T.W. Wash Lodge No. 430 of Gravel Switch.  Besides his wife, Mr. Whitehouse is survived by seven children, Mary Frances, Catherine, Lucille, James, Geneva, Juanita and Charles Thornton, all of whom live at home; two brothers, J.R. Whitehouse, and Hobert Whitehouse, both of this city; four sisters, Mrs. L.T. Isaacs, of this city, Miss Fanola Whitehouse, of Riley, Mrs. John Lanham, of Aliceton and Mrs. W.B. MRS. W.S. LANHAM DIES OF CANCER

Mrs. Dora Edwards Whitehouse Lanham, 67, wife of W. Scott Lanham, died at 9:50 p.m. last Friday at her home at Riley after two years illness of cancer.  She was a native of Marion County, a daughter of Thomas Dent and Sallie Frances (Floyd) Edwards.  She was twice married.  Her first husband died a number of years ago.  Her second survives.  Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ray Burris, and Mrs. Joe Fowler both of Lebanon, Mrs. James Wilson, Louisville, and Mrs. Sam Glasscock, Perryville; two sons, James Whitehouse, Lebanon and Charles Whitehouse of Louisville.  Two brothers, Homer and Noel Edwards both of Riley and two sisters, Mrs. E.C. Brewer, Buffalo, Ky. and Mrs. Leslie Coyle, Perryville.  The body was at the Bosley Funeral Home until 2 p.m. Monday.  Funeral services were conducted at the Riley Methodist Church by the Rev. Ray C. Brown of Bradfordsville.  Burial was in Haysville Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Michael and Billy Hayes, Sam Sullivan, Alan Spalding, Lucien Smith, and Otis Lanham.
