Born on the 27th January 1976 in Sion Hill St.Vincent and the Grenadines, he began his musical career on the drums playing in Churches at the age of 11. He further developed a love for the keys in his early teen years when he first started his own little band, "Chosen Vessels". He later joined "Boys for Christ" then "Mix 2 1". Those groups were all church based but original. By the time Mark was 22 he begun developing a passion for the guitar and started expressing that passion with the group Flare playing on cruise ships. Flare brought a sufficient amount of light to the whole musical spectrum for him. With Flare, music was music and the group aimed soley at satisfying its audiences playing from top 40's hits to the little country folk songs.
Being essentially a self-taught musician, Mark have however been able to expand his musical scope by being open to various styles of music. "A few of my mentors and major influences would include lead guitarist Tom Kolb, Barret Tagliarino classical rock guitar soloist, Santana, Chuck Wayne jazz guitars, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Van Halen, pianists like Chick Coria, Gonzalas, soca dands like Touch, Burning Flames, Atlantic, WCK, Marshal, Gospel groups like commissioned, Kirk Franklin, Winan brothers, reggae bands like Third World, steel Pulse, the whales not forgettting the lare great Bob Marley and cats like Berres Hammond and Maxi Priest, just to name a few". He states.
