| July 19, 2006 Sheridan was ridden for the first time today. It was a very interesting day, and Sheridan wasn't fazed in the least. All the fuss, and vacuuming for the very first time didn't bother him. He was ready to go! Before long he had a rider on his back and was a perfect gentleman. He spent about 2 weeks with John Margeson for some saddle time and to assure what we saw today was 'the real deal' and we weren't disappointed. |
| We adopted Sheridan when he was almost 6. He had been rescued from neglectful conditions when he was only 6 months old and then had been in a field of other horses until that time. There was little handling and he was definitely our "wild child". Now at 8, he was finally finding a purpose in his life. As you can see by the following photos, he was thrilled by this chance and loves his life. |

| Sheridan is no longer my 'wild child' but instead one of the best horses in the world. He is kind and gentle and willing and raring to go. He loves our together time. |

| Decided to add this photo as a post script. Taken in late 2005, Sheridan just didn't understand what Henry was asking of him. Out of frustration he reared, then settled down and got down to business. He was not being bad - just a little tantrum :-) (Henry and Ky had stopped for a short visit that day so Henry did a little ground work with Sheridan for fun.) |
