I started writing the story to have it as one long story, but by the time I was towards the middle of Borders, it'd been a long while so I decided to chop it up in three different parts. Part two develops more of Zac's "master plan" to marry Ginger.

The point of view is still in Ginger's eyes. Her cancer is in remission but she had a hell of a time with it. Zac comes by on her eighteenth birthday and proposes. Ginger, who once openly laughed at the thought of getting married to him, agrees. But the happiness of her getting married is quickly matched by her long-lost brother returning home.

Along with her brother coming home is the beginning of something devastating. Kris, while on her way home from a job interview, was brutally assaulted and sent to the hospital. And the begin of the downfall of everything good is suddenly brought upon the group of friends, and Zac realizes he has to give up something he never thought he'd give up for anything in the world.
