    Annie Elizabeth Atherton (Myranda/Maranda, William, Peter, William) was born 11 Jul 1879, Corinth, Alcorn Co., Mississippi, married 17 Dec 1899, in Collinsville, Grayson Co., Texas, William Moody Hunt, b. 12 Sep 1877, Longtown, Panola Co., Mississippi, (son of James Hunt and Emily Tidwell) died 21 Apr 1960, Collinsville, Grayson Co., Texas.

     Annie died 2 Dec 1964, Sherman, Grayson Co., Texas. Melvin Pride Thomasson ( born 09 Dec 1851 in Tuscumbia, Alabama; died 26 Nov 1921 in Collinsville, Texas) and Tennessee Ann Thomasson ( born 26 May 1851 in Mississippi; 16 Jun 1915 in Collinsville, Texas) never had children of their own but took Annie in after the death of her parents.

     They raised Annie and she inherited their estate which included over one hundred acres of land. The land remained in Annie's family until Moody's death in 1960 when she sold 60 acres in order to have funds for funeral expenses for her husband, Moody and herself when her time came. The remaining 60.5 acres was passed onto her children at the time of her death. Today Florence Hunt, wife of Jimmie Hunt lives on 20.5 acres, all that remains of Annie's inheritance.

He had three sisters Mrs. Henry Jurecka of Pilot Point, Texas, Mrs Lee Cook of Tioga, Texas, Mrs. Robert Waggoner of Tioga, Texas, five brothers L. H. Carrigan of Tioga, John Carrigan, H. H. Carrigan, and R. L. Carrigan all of Amarillo, Texas & A. R. Carrigan of Lubbock, Texas. He had 3 grandchildren. Johnnie & Cliff never had children; they raised Cliff's two grandsons, Tony and Steve Stone.
