Peter Honnoll

             Peter Honnoll (William) was born circa 1779-1781 in Harford Co., Maryland. He married Mary Martin circa 1802 probably in South Carolina.

Peter Honnel is listed as a soldier in the War of 1812 Reg't (McWillie's) South Carolina Militia.

               He was counted in these census:

               1783 Harford Co., Maryland
               1800 York Co., South Carolina
               1830, 1840, 1850, Hardeman Co., Tennessee
               1860 Tishomingo Co., Mississippi

Peter died in 1869 in Tishomingo Co., Mississippi.

Children of Peter Honnoll and Mary Martin:

              i Sarah H. Honnoll b. 1803-1806 died before 1876 married in 24 Oct 1822 (possibly in Carroll Co., TN) to Soloman Cooper b. 11 Dec 1801; Warren County, NC; died 21 Jul 1884, Pinson, Madison Co., Tennessee.   Sarah's date of death is not known at this time...we know she died before he made his will in 1876, also he remarried to a Miss Cameron but date of that marriage is not known.
It is believed no children were born to Sarah and Solomon.

Soloman Cooper stipulated in his will dated 26 Jun 1876 that the "brothers and sisters of my deceased wife, Sarah H. Cooper" be left a share of his estate: William, Peter, Moses Honnoll 9th share; child of Mary Rodgers 9th; child of Lucinda Jackson 9th; Louisa Wilson (wife of Ingram Wilson) 9th; Parmelia Regan 9th; Martha Wilson (Claiborne Wilson's wife) 9th; Martha Casey.

Solomon Cooper was a contemporary of Peter Honnoll, his deceased wife's father, having served together as grand jurors in Hardeman Co., Tn ca 1828 in the town of Bolivar.   Solomon is a neighbor of Peter Honnoll in Hardeman Co., Tn in the 1830 census but in 1840 he is listed in Madison Co., Tn. His brother-in-law Wm Honnoll was listed in the 1840 census of Madison Co., Tn, too.
