Hi everyone!

Happy August! Holy cow, where is the summer going? Birthdays this month: Grandma Degnan (2nd), and Kelly (29). There are a lot of things that I still want to accomplish this year. Our basement still needs to be finished; we have the ceiling and the floorboards to do yet, plus redo the carpet and the drywall from the water damage. We also have the garage to clean out and organize. And, of course, I still want to go on as many vacations as I can, woohoo!

About myself

Basics: My name is Holly M Dockter and I am 29 years old. I work as a Payroll Specialist at Milwaukee Area Technical College where my coworkers drive me crazy! I also am a Stampin' Up demonstrator so if you need stamps and/or supplies, please contact me! I went to school at UW-Whitewater and earned a BBA in Accounting and an MBA in Management. It used to be a dream to open a bar ("Beer Goggles") but life is full of changes and financial difficulties will make that challenging so we'll see what happens.

Here's my birthday list for this year.

Hobbies: In my spare time, I love to read (currently involved in a Tom Clancy series) and work on my scrapbook. I also love to travel. It is my goal to visit all 50 states in my lifetime - so far I've been to 23 of them. Traveling is why I like to scrapbook because I need somewhere to put all of my pictures. I also love to play the piano so I accompany our church choir during practice on Tuesday nights and occassionally during services.

I also am obsessed with movies. You can find me at one every Tuesday night with Kerri. There's a new movie theater by my house and we're regular customers there. I love sports, especially baseball and football. Heidi and I are entering our 2nd season with Brewers season tickets. I also like playing fantasy football - I just won my 4th season!

And then there's the great outdoors... I love to go camping, bicycling, rollerblading, and walking through parks. My absolute favorite thing to do is 4-wheeling but I haven't done that in awhile because Andy doesn't let me ride his!

I love dogs! I have a little side business going where I dogsit so if anybody ever needs me to stay with their canine, just drop me a line.

I collect many different items. Currently, my biggest collection is snow globes. I've been collecting these ever since I went to France over 10 years ago. Most of them are from places that I've been but I also have a lot of special occasion ones. My next big collection is resin cows, they are called Cow Parade. I also have a collection of keychains that I've had for probably 20 years now.

Family & Friends: I have a twin sister, Heidi, and a younger brother, Andy. My parents are Dan and Tammy. My Opinion on Current Issues

2008

How many people know who they should be voting for in the presidential election this year? In years past surveys have indicated I should vote Republican, this time around it says Hilary... I'm so confused!

2007

Marquette Interchange Project: Now in order to get downtown you have to take the 43N exit which has been reduced to one lane so the line to get off on it is at least 1 1/2 miles long and I get into the line as soon as possible but there are these assholes who wait until the very last possible second to merge and people have to stop to let them in and then the line just takes longer and longer! They better make that exit into 2 lanes soon!

Brewers - winning season?: Opening Day is just around the corner, how will the Brewers fare this year? Will we end up with a winning season? I was sorry to see Brady Clark go, but it seems as if we have a good starting lineup this year, should be exciting. 06/26/07: Update - we have been #1 in our division for over 6 weeks and right now we're 8 1/2 games ahead of the 2nd place Cubbies. 09/04/07: Well, we're in the penant race but we're now 1 1/2 games behind the Cubs...
