Blue Laced Red Wyandottes
This variety of Wyandotte came to the United States from England. The original came from crossing Silver Laced and Golden Laced Wyandottes. The blue gene gives them either a dark or light blue lacing in both chicks and adults. This may cause birds to vary in appearance but still display the beautiful colors of this very rare and unusual chick. They lay brown eggs and are medium in size.
We have five BLRWs, 2 boys and 3 girls. They are one of the freindliest chickens on the place. Diesel and Deuce are big babies and both of them will happily greet me in the mornings. The girls will fly right up to us, in an impatient hurry for their treats.
