Mr.
Anwer Sheikh brings with him over 12 years of experience in corporate finance
and management consulting including systems and business process designing;
financial feasibilities; profitability analysis; design, development and implementation
of accounting systems; budgeting; structuring corporate finance transaction
for mergers, acquisitions, privatizations and fund raising through Term Finance
Certificates.
Prior to joining AKD Securities, Mr. Sheikh was working at Deloitte & Touche Pakistan as Director Corporate Finance. Mr. Sheikh executed one of the most innovative and complicated merger of three BRR Group Modarabas in Pakistan. He also advised the Norsk Hydro - Jaffer Brothers Consortium on their acquisition strategy for the privatization of Pak Arab Fertilizer. Mr. Sheikh was the Project Coordinator for an Asian Development Bank project on the Reforms of Pension and Provident Funds in Pakistan and worked closely with a team of senior international and local consultants. He also acted as project director on the privatization of Duty Free Shops and has done a number of valuation studies for the Privatization Commission, Government of Pakistan. He also advised Jaffer Brothers on the acquisition of an internet services provider and its subsequent merger with an existing ISP owned and operated by Jaffer Brothers. Mr. Sheikh was project director on the conversion of Pakistan Insurance Corporation into Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited.

Kashif Shamim, 26
Corporate
Finance Analyst
Prior to joining AKD Securities, Mr. Shamim was working with Deloitte
& Touche Pakistan as an Assistant Manager. He was the project team leader
on the Corporatization of Pakistan Insurance Corporation and was responsible
for the overall execution of the assignment involving valuation, incorporation
of a public limited company and close liaison with legal counsel for devising
a legal route for the conversion of Corporation into a public limited company.
While working as a Corporate Finance Analyst with BMA Capital Management, Mr. Shamim advised Dawood Leasing on the successful acquisition of Guardian Modaraba Management. Mr. Shamim was a member of the execution team for buy-side advisory to Deutsche Morgan Grenfell, London on the privatization of Karachi Electric Supply Corporation. Mr. Shamim also worked jointly with Credit Suisse First Boston, Hong Kong for Army Welfare Trust on the restructuring and merger of its two cement plants.
He also prepared a detailed feasibility report for the management of BMA Capital for setting-up an information technology education and training institute. His report formed the basis of a strategic decision by the company management to diversify into information technology sector.
