They try to use the device on another doorway but it makes weird flashes in the doorway. They hear the man yelling for them out in the street. They climb through a window to hide. They find themselves in a laboratory with a lot of electrical apparatus. They are looking around when a man comes in behind them and asks what they are doing in his lab (he is in shadow).
