The following information (thoughtfully provided by Nancy Korda) was gleaned from searching the web and a few phone calls to get price information. It was meant to give you a head start on finding lodging but does not mean we recommend or prefer any of these places over others. Please feel free to pursue more options on your own.
**Because it is Labor Day weekend the motels closest to the reception would not hold a block of rooms for our party. Also because it is Labor Day weekend we would encourage you to make reservations at your preferred choice as soon as you know whether you will attend.**
MOTELS
Arranged in order of proximity to the reception venue, The Dorf Haus in Roxbury, WI.
- Crystal Lake Campground and Resort:has cabins in addition to camping. Has additional advantage of being between Roxbury and Matt and Sarah�s house. Cabins hold from 4-14 people. The cabins range in price from $65-$225. The resort is on a large peninsula into Crystal Lake. The web site is www.crystallakecampground.com Phone � (608) 592-5607.
- Cedarberry Inn: This Motel is located in Sauk City about 10 min from Roxbury but 30 min. from Matt and Sarah�s house. It is a fairly new two story with indoor pool sauna etc and has simple rooms as well as suites. The simplest rooms are $79/night for two on the weekend. - Skyview:This is a smaller motel (but they have large rooms) is about 15 min from Roxbury, 25 from Sarah & Matt�s. There is a small non-commercial air strip across the road so they cater to the fly-in crowd hence the name. It is $65 for two per night on the weekend. The web site is www.skyviewmotel.net. - Best Western Lodi: This standard Best Western is about 7 minutes from Matt & Sarah's, but 20 minutes from Roxbury.
- The following two web sites have more motel options but they are all farther away from Roxbury than those above: www.baraboonow.com and www.saukprairie.com. The Devilshead Resort listed in the Sauk Prairie site offers only golfing packages not just rooms. The Highlander also listed there is $75 for two per night.
- For those who prefer a real tourist destination with water parks and casinos there is the website for Wisconsin Dells: www.wisconsin-dells.net. All the Dells locations will be at least 30 min from Roxbury and a similar distance from Matt & Sarah's.
- For those who would like to stay in Madison, westside Madison locations will be about 30-35 min from Roxbury. www.visitmadison.com and www.greatermadisonchamber.com. Downtown Madison offers great shopping, entertainment, and beautiful spaces. See Downtown Madison, Inc and Madison's Central BIDfor more information. Generally speaking Madison prices will be a little to a lot higher than the Roxbury area.
