Born and raised in Ridgewood, NY, Richard Jaklitsch received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College, having majored in Cognitive Science and English Literature, with minor degrees in History, Philosophy, and Music. He received his Master of Arts degree from St. John's University in 1991. He completed his first book in 1991 entitled T.S. Eliot's Four Quartets: An Affirmation of Christian Faith. He is currently working on two books: The History of Gottschee and The History of Medieval Austria. He lives in Middle Village, NY.
