Paganism 101 cont...
We all come from the Goddess
and to her we shall return
like a drop of rain
flowing to the ocean
Whats with this witchcraft and magic((k)--and why the 'k') business anyhow?
Witchcraft is generally accpted as the practice of magic(k).

Perhaps the best well known definitions of magic(k) comes from Aleister Crowley (also the man that popularized the alternative spelling "magick", to differentiate it from stage magic) who explains it as "the Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will".  Not all practitioners of magic and witchcraft will agree with this exact definition, though modern definitions of magic are at least partially based upon it.  Different Pagan traditions and individual Pagans tend to view magic in a variety of ways.

A few types of magic include divination such as tarot cards, I Ching, and runes, folk magick, hoodoo, shamanism, and spellcraft and spell casting...but this is in NO WAY a comprehensive list...

Something to remember...not all practitioners of witchcraft and magick are Pagan...and not all Pagans practice witchcraft and magick.
So what do pagans actually worship anyhow?
It depends on what tradition is followed.  For the most part pagans are polytheistic and recognize diety in many different forms, though most choose to focus on certain dieties or pantheons.  The largest segment of Paganism, Wicca, worships a Goddess and a God...while some groups recognize both equally, others focus exclusively on the Goddess, or in rare cases, the God.
May the circle be open, but unbroken
May the peace of the Goddess be ever in your hearts.
Merry meet, merry part,
and merry meet again.
