Past Life Part Three

This is the third and possible last part to this fic, although I have a felling that there will be one more part, and possibly two different versions of this part, I'm not sure how I'm going to do it yet, but since sexuality is normal to human beings, on of these parts may get a little erotic, and that's why I'll make two different versions. This one however has no strong sexual content and would probably be rated PG,but probobly G so continue to read, and enjoy the fic I was just warning you ahead of time ^_^.
Another Day dealing with Rei
'How the hell did she know my name?' That was all Darien could think about the next day. Sailor Moon called me the same name the girl in the dream had called me, but....it can't just be coincidence, I refuse to believe that, she must know something, she has too...
"I forgive you, now take me out today"
A familiar voice broke into Darien's thought.
"huh?" He said puzzled when he turned to see Rei smiling at him.
"There's this great movie coming out today I want to see, so you can take me out as an apology"
Darien was shocked that she could look past the fact that he had kissed Serena so easily, but she still hadn't talked to Serena since all the confusion had happened.
"Rei, I'd love to, but I have a lot of stuff I have to do today"
Rei frowned. Darien silently hoped to himself that that would be enough to get Rei to forget about him and find someone else to date. He didn't realize it before, but he had no romantic feelings for her, and he didn't want to lead her on.
"How about next Saturday?"
"Rei, I just can't I have a midterm study for, I'm going to be busy for at least the next two weeks or so..."
Rei was looking done at her feat with her hands in a tight fist.
"You don't have to lie to me, I'm not stupid"
"Rei I'm not lying"
"The winter semester just started, you won't have a midterm for the nest three months!"
"Well, you know it's always better to get an early start"
BUSTED was all he could think of as he tried to cover his tracks with a combination of laughing, whit and pretend sincerity. When he looked at her again, she was already walking away from him muttering to herself.
"She always gets what she wants"
"Rei, REI I'm SORRY, I really am"
Rei turned to look at him for a second then she turned back around and continued her aimless walk. Darien sighed to himself, and continued to walk to the arcade, he owed everyone an apology for the way he had acted before. When he walked into the arcade, he was surprised to find Serena and Mina in there as well. He immediately felt like he should have waited to apologize. He was starring at her again, but he couldn't help it! He was trying to pull his gaze from her, but for some reason, he needed to hold her...
"Hey Darien!"
He did it again, he completely spaced out. He wasn't pulled back into reality until the voice of Andrew calling his name finally reached him.
"OH...sorry, I didn�t hear you"
"I noticed, although I don't see how you couldn�t I was standing right here"
He showed Darien how close he was standing, and he knew exactly what Andrew must have been thinking. 'He's going to go crazy again
"I'm fine Andrew, just a little tired"
"Are you sure, because you shook the girls up pretty bad"
"I'm sure"
Serena didn't even have to look up, she felt him starring at her, she knew he was there. She wanted so much for him to hold her, but she couldn't reach out for him, she was too afraid, too confused.
"I don't believe it Darien just showed up"
Mina's words did nothing for Serena but confirm that her feelings were right, and that Darien was in fact at the arcade.
"I can't believe he would back here after what he did"
"He has his reasons"
"For coming back here?"
"No, for everything"
Mina was surprised at Serena's words. Ever since Darien kissed her, she had been acting differently, and then last night when she finally got in touch with them after they fought that piece of nega shit, she refused to tell them the truth about where she had been. She wasn't her normal silly clumsy happy self. She was more like a great thinker that was always thinking, but she wasn't thinking about the laws of physics or anything like that, she was just...thinking.
"What happened with you that day Darien?"
"I don't know, I just...I must have had too much saki or something"
He laughed nervously hoping that Andrew would leave the questioning alone. Andrew must have picked up on his nervousness, because he didn't ask Darien another 'why?' question.
"I told you she was yours"
"What!? I was drunk, it wasn't like that"
"Darien really there's no reason to lie about it, I saw you starring at her when you first came in, an outside observer would say your in love"
His reply was quiet.
"Maybe I am..."
"Huh?"
"Nothing, I didn't say anything...I just wanted to say I'm sorry about what happened, it'll never happen again"
"Don't apologize to me, Serena's the one that you should be apologizing to, Rei hasn't said a word to her since it happened, the girls told me it's like she's just cut her out of her life"
"I tried to talk to Rei, but she...I don't know it's like she's blaming Serena for what I did"
"She really liked you, she doesn't want to believe that she wasn't what you wanted, so she's blaming Serena for something she had no power over"
"Your right, I should talk to her"
Darien stood up from his seat and began to make his way over to Serena.
"HEY Darien!"
"Yeah"
"Don't do that wiggy pin you to the wall and ask weird questions right before I kiss you thing again OK?"
"I won't"
He began to walk towards Serena, he could feel her pulling him into her again, but he fought it, telling himself that he couldn't loose control again.
"I can't believe him! he's coming over here"
"..."
Serena already knew he was coming closer to her, but she didn't know how to react. All the girls expected her to be angry with him for what he did, but the truth was she couldn't wait to see him again.
"Serena, can I talk to you for a minute?"
"She doesn't have anything to say to you! You should be ashamed of yourself. You know you can't play with the hearts of young girls"
Mina spoke as if she was the protector of all young hearts, which in a way she was. Mina grabbed Serena's wrist in order to lead her from the arcade, but she was met with resistance.
"Darien, what is it you want to talk to me about?"
Mina was shocked, her mouth was wide enough to catch a whale in.
"Serena you have to be kidding, you're going to talk to this jerk!?"
Mina's words began to fade away as the room around Serena had already done, it was just her and Darien now, falling deeper into each others eyes.
"I...I just wanted to say I'm sorry for what I did that day"
"I'm confused now"
"About what?"
"I..."
"SERENA!"
Mina was calling her name, but she didn't hear it before.
"I have to go now"
She turned around with Mina by her side and began to run from the arcade.
"Serena! I meant what I said that night"
"She stopped and turned around.
"I know you did"
When Mina and Serena got chance to sit down and again, Mina just starred at Serena in amazement.
"Mina, please don't tell Rei about this"
"I won't, I promise...Serena?"
"Yeah?"
"What's going on between you two?"
"I don't know...
"But there is something there right?"
"Yeah, but I can't explain it"
"I can keep your secret, can you keep mine?"
"Sure"
"Seeing you two together, made me realize something I never saw before"
"What's that?"
"You're both confused about your feelings, because neither of you wants to admit they're there...You're in love with him Serena, and I know you don't want to hurt Rei, but you can't deny the way you feel forever, he isn't for her, you are"
"Thanks"
It made Serena feel better to know that some one was on her side about the whole Darien thing.
"Wow, he said he meant what he said that night...I wish someone would tell me they loved me...it's so romantic"
Darien had watched her leave the arcade and decided not to follow her, instead he sat at the counter in deep thought.
"I thought you were drunk"
"What do you mean, Andrew?"
'I meant what I said that night',you weren't drunk, you know exactly what you were doing!"
Andrew mimicked Darien and then laughed at him for his failed cover-up, and teased him a little bit to let him know he wasn't mad at him.
"What I don't get is why you just didn't tell her instead of wigging out the way you did"
"I can't explain it, but I didn't have any control over what happened"
"I guess your animal instincts took over for your brain"
"It wasn't like that, it was just like...I needed her to know..."
"Well Darien all I can say about the situation is that you need to tell Serena, when you're not going crazy over her, the way you feel about her...that's the only way she'll be able to take you seriously"
"but I..."
"Saying you meant what you said that day you went crazy is not the same as saying those three little words on a sane day"
"I just don't know what's happening anymore, I started having these dreams and..."
"That's your problem, an intense dream can have any male subject yearning for more"
"Andrew it isn't like that!"
"I'm just kidding"
Darien turned at bright shade of pink while, Andrew once again, was laughing once again at Darien's expense.
When Serena got home she ran to Luna, she had a few questions only a guardian could answer.
"Luna does the name Endymion mean anything to you?"
"Endymion!?...it sounds kind of familiar, but that's it why?"
"I was just wondering" Serena was a obviously disappointed.
"Serena, what's going on with you and Darien?"
Serena was surprised by the question and stammered for an acceptable answer.
"I...We...He...urghhh I don't know"
"I talked to Rei and she said that you kissed him or something like that and now he doesn't want to go out with her anymore. She said you stole her boyfriend basically"
"Do you believe that?"
"Not only does the way the other girls tell me it happened conflict with Rei's story, but I don't see you intentionally hurting one of friends like that, so no I don't believe what she told me"
Someone else was on her side, she felt a whole lot better now.
"It didn't happen the way Rei told you"
"Then what happened?"
"I don't know, Darien went wiggy and I...I just"
"I never thought you two would end up together"
"We aren't together!"
"Serena I've been spying on him ever since the girls told me what happened, and he hasn't stopped thinking about you, you can see it in his eyes"
"He just...he just feels bad about Rei and I, that's all"
"Well whatever the reason is, you need to patch things up with Rei, you could have died the other night because of her...no one said that to her, just because, well frankly we didn't think she would care right now, but you need Mars to back you up and with the way she feels about you right now, the scouts can't depend on her to do her duty"
"I'll talk to her tomorrow"
Darien was falling behind in his studies, all this drama with Serena was clouding his mind, he couldn't think straight.
"I need to take a walk"
Darien rose from his computer and decided to take a mind clearing stroll through Tokyo. He didn't have a set place that he was going, he just wondered around the late night streets until he began to feel tired. He was walking back to his apartment when the silhouette of a girl caught his attention. She had just finished buttoning the last few buttons on her pajama tops. Her long hair fell loosely around her knees and shoulders as she brushed it gently into a golden shine.
"Serena..."
Darien didn't want to stop watching her, she was too beautiful to tear his eyes away form. She yawned before turning off her light and getting into her bed to sleep. Darien had been watching her window for hours before he realized the sun was slowly peaking between the clouds, he took a look at his watch to see just how early it was.
"Oh shit! It's five in the morning!"
He took off running home at top speed. He had made it back just in time to take a shower, get dressed, and on time to his first hour class, but between his in class snoring, and his starring off into space the professor must have gotten worried.
"Mr. Shields are you alright?"
"I'm sorry sir, I'm fine"
"You seem to have a lot on your mind lately"
Darien looked his professor in the eye and replied in a monotone voice.
"You have no idea"
