Common Terms:
1. Yuu Yuu
Hakusho - also called "The Poltergeist Report" and "The story
of Yuu". People living in the Philippines know this anime series as
"Ghost Fighter". 112 TV episodes, 19 manga (comic book) volumes, 2
movies and some OAVs, including a character analysis and a rumored
Valentine's Day OAV.
The series
talks about a young boy named Yuusuke who was killed in a car accident
saving a young boys life; which is so unlike Yuusuke, a notorious juvenile
delinquent. In fact, Reikai (Spirit World / Gates of Judgment) didn't expect
him to die just yet! Consequently, Yuusuke is resurrected as a human, but
was made a Reikai detective, whose job is to track down escaped demons in
the Ningenkai (Human World). He is joined later by Kuwabara, his number one
rival, two Makai (Demon World) demons Hiei and Kurama; supported by his
sort-of girlfriend Keiko, his pacifier-sucking Reikai boss Koenma, and a
ditzy spirit ferrygirl named Botan.
And people
thought they had it bad.
2. yaoi :
Yaoi means a guy - guy relationship. In Yuu Yuu Hakusho, this is quite
popular, especially with two of its characters Kurama and Hiei, although
pairings with other cast members are not uncommon. Many of the people here
(including the maintainer) support this pairing, so as stated in the rules,
everyone should respect everyone else regardless of being a yaoi fan or
not.
3.
Yoshihiro Togashi - creator of Yuu Yuu Hakusho. Also the creator of Hunter x
Hunter and the Level E series. Fun fact: He's married to Naoko Takeuchi,
creator of Sailormoon!
