-Ch 5-
I ran across the grassy feild of the the Dark Forest. Makai hunters were chasing me. I figure I could wack them w/ my Rose Whip if I could just get to the spot.
Aha! I tall tree branch. Perfect. I jumped as high as I could to the highest branch.
The 5 hunters began to squat to jump onto the branch. I quickly grabbed 4 roses from my long silver hair.
"Rose Whip!" I summoned that dark power to form a long red whip. I slashed the hunters all at once. They all shattered. Hmph! What a waste of my time to deal w/ weak opponets. To think they can out go me! Heheheheh....when I am in my Yoko form I think highly of myself! I hate that whenever I am in my human form. But that is just the real me. I layed down on the branch. What a day! That was the 8th set of enemies who approached me! I have had a hard day. I figure I will take a rest. I yawned. Maybe I should go back to the Nigenkai. To see my girl Maya. But I have felt so much better since I came back to Makai. If I go back I will feel torn agian. But I can always come back. Okay then. My descision has been made. I am gonna go visit my girlfriend.
"WHERE'S MY CIGARETTES!!??" Shiori shouted upstairs. Maya heard stomping.
"Maya-chan! Where are they!?" she demanded.
Maya shrugged. She began to growl. She then stomped upstairs. Maya checked her watch. One thirty-five a.m. It's 1:35 in the morning and Shiori is shoyting for smokes.
"Man..I hope Shuichi-kun comes back soon so I won't have to watch her!" she said tp herself. She yawned. She has been up the whole night. Shiori came stomping down the stairs.
"Let me go make some tea....." Shiori walked into the kitchen.
"Ms. Minamino?" Maya called out.
"Don't worry Maya-Chan! Everything will go...AHH!!!"
Large flames flew across the kitchen.
"Ms. Minamino!!" Maya ran in the kitchen. She saw Shiori in the corner of the kitchen. The flames were coming at her.
Maya dashed under the flames. She slid under them so quickly that they barely touched her.
Maya grabbed Shiori. "This way!" she led her to the kitchen window. She tried to pull it up but it was sealed. "It's locked!!" Maya paniced. She grabbed Shiori and headed to the den. Shiroi fell over and tripped over a bottle of greese. The liqiud fled towards the fire.
-WOOSH!- It made the fire even bigger.
"This way!" Maya led her to the front door. It was stuck. Maya forced her body on the door. Shiori watched for the fire. It suddenly came towards them.
Shiori screamed. This caused Maya to look over to Shiori and scream herself. She led them upstairs as they watched the fire burn the door. Shiori headed to the bathroom for water.
"What are you doing?!" Maya pulled Shiori away.
"I g2 get a bucket of water to put out the fire!" she shouted.
"This is a greese fire! Water makes it spread!!" Maya shouted back.
-Woosh!-
The fire rose up to the staircase. Maya began to panic. She grabbed Shiori and led her to Kurama's room. She immediatly closed the door and locked it. She knew it wouldn't help but it would give her time to climb out of the window. She headed to the window. She looked out. The fire department was here. Good. It led to the bottom roof. If they could jump out of the window they could land on the roof. And hopefully, they will be able to jump down to the ground safely.
"Ms. Minamino, this way!!" Maya slid the window open. There was a screen there. "Stand back!" she pushed Shiori away. She kicked the screen as hard as she could. The screen fell off the house. "Go.." She helped Shiori out of the window. After she got out safely, she jumped out. She and Shiori landed on the bottom roof. Maya looked down. It was gonna be a long jump.
-Woosh!- The fire came out the back door.
"Ms. Minamino!! We g2 jump!" Maya grabbed her hand. Shiori nodded.
"One..two..three!" They both jumped and landed on the ground. Maya heard Shiori's ankle bone crack.
"Ah!!" Shiori held her ankle. Fire fighters ran toward her. They began to check with her.
"Looks like her ankle is broken." one of the fire fighters demandedto bring out a bed (or whatever they called it ^.^)
They laid Shiori on it. They led her to the ambulance.
"Will she be ok?" Maya asked.
"I am surely she will be. " the fire fighter said. Maya let go of Shiori's hand and they took her away.
"Can I go w/ her?" Maya asked.
"It will be better if I took you home. Are you ok?"
"Yes I'm fine." Maya touched her chest.
"Oh no! My ruby pendant! I left it in the house!" Maya ran towards the house. Kurama gave her that pendat when they were together. Two fire fighters grabbed her. "You can't go in there!"
"LET ME GO!!!! That pendant was the only I had left from Shuichi!!" she grabbed a bucket of water and poured it on herself. She opened the door. Flames came at her but she ran in there. She ran upsatirs in Shuichi's room. She grabbed her pendant. She turned around. The fire formed a circle around her. No escape. The flames came coser to her. She was waiting to die.
"AAHHHHHH!! SHUICHI!!!!"
-Swish!-
Some one grabbed Maya and ran out of the back window and onto the back yard.
She looked up to him and gasped. He was me. Not as Shuichi Minamino but as Yoko Kurama. I laid her down. "Are you ok Maya?" I asked her.
"Um.....hai.." she gave a grip on her pendant. I smiled at her.
I couldn't help myself. I leant over and kissed her hard on the lips. Maya was shocked....but was blushing.
"I will explain things later...as long as you not tell anyone what just happened." I said then I dissapeared in front of her. I really don't know why I did this. But I couldn't help myself. I came back as Yoko because I had trouble turning myself back into Minamino-kun. And when I saw the fire....I was petrified. If anything happened to my Maya and mother...I would never have forgiven myself. I began to sit in a tree and watch Maya . I saw it. She was not afraid. She was smiling.
