Lavender
This plant has astringent properties.  Best used for acne prone skin.  It tightens pores and helps to remove deep down oils and dirt.  To  make your own toner, see the 'recipies' section of this website.
Chamomile
Chamomile is best known or it's calming tea.  But chamomile is also a wonderful herb for beauty products.  The best way to use chamomile for your hair is simply to make a strong tea and use it as a hair rinse.  It's great for lighter hair colors, helps to bring out the highlights.

In a salve, chamomile herb is perfect for softening skin.  Use in a soap, bubble bath or simply add a tea bag to your bath water as it runs to totally soften your skin
Rosemary
This is the best herb for darker hair colors.  Using as a rinse after shampooing helps bring out natural highlights.  You can add essential oil to your regular shampoo, but I'd prefer that it be used by making a strong tea.  you get more out of it that way.

Rosemary can also be used to help fight dandruff.
Apple Cider Vinegar
I just had to add this to the list.  Once a week, use apple cider vinegar as a hair rinse...  WOW!
It restores the ph balance in your hair and makes it crazy soft!
