The day after I went to Volcan Poas, I went with one other girl to Quepos/Manuel Antonio. We went to the Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio, and I finally saw animals! We saw monkey and sloths, just like these ones. Of course, we saw them from pretty far away, but still, it was exciting! It rained every afternoon we were there, so we didn't get to go to the beach at all. But we did do one other amazing thing.... |

...We went on a dolphin watch! And we saw dolphins! It was sooooo awesome. They came right up next to the boat and played and jumped around. They were so beautiful, and it was sooo much fun. I think that's the best thing I've done so far in Costa Rica. We also saw manta rays jump out of the water and do flips, which was funny, but we didn't see the humpback whales that were supposedly in the area. But the dolphins were enough to make me happy! |

About a week later, I went on a day trip to the nearby Orosi Valley. My friends and I rented horses, which was an interesting experience, and rode around a coffee plantation/park. It was really pretty there, and I hope to go back soon...especially since it's so close! And I hear there's a waterfall somewhere that's not to hard to hike to.... |
