Recieved an email from Ohio State Senator John Boccieri regarding funding and possibly some confusion on what my proposal ask. The Senator did express that my idea will be vetted through the Veterans Study Council. So I contact his legislative aid and emailed the Senator back to clarify things. I responded back to Senator John Boccieri that my proposal is to help equal the playing field to help include in any of Ohio's Veterans Benefits all types of Military both Active and National Guard elements. I want to guarantee through legislation that Ohio's Active Duty Veterans can get at least some State assistance with getting a college education. I am not asking for 100% free tuition for Active Duty Veterans. All I ask is that there is some kind of
state benefit available to help Active Duty Veterans. If a comprenhensive program can not be funded then I propose that the Ohio Legislature at least does some. Doing something is better than NOTHING! I also sent letters to various Veterans Organizations in the state of Ohio to ask for their support and to even be a co-sponsor of my proposal.
