| January 3, 1982 Hello Dolly, Hi! How are you? Hope you�re okay and everything�s always all right. How was your Christmas and New Year? Hope you had celebrated it happily. We were at Novaliches on Christmas and New Year. We were there from December 24 to 26, then from December 31 to January 2. We enjoyed it somehow. I think Auntie Charito is short on her budget that�s why we celebrated the holidays there. Uncle Gene was on holiday earlier this year, even earlier than our school vacation, which started on December 19. Ate Diana came home from Japan on December 10. She�s fine. She put on some weight. And she had lots of pasalubong. We brought the tape to Novaliches but they were not able to record anything because they were busy attending to their guests. The YMCians started caroling on December 19 until December 23. Our group was smaller than it was last year. Only the fourth years went. The third years are lazy. We also went to fewer places and so we earned only a little compared to last year. There was an outing for the carolers on December 24. They went to Nayong Pilipino. I wanted to go since I didn�t last year, but we were at Novaliches on that day. Miss Borromeo left her apartment here at Pandacan. She received the card that you sent her though. She is back home at Tondo. Lina and I went to her place this afternoon after shopping for things that we will to send to you. We wanted her to record a voice tape, but somebody borrowed her cassette recorder. She said that she�ll do it tomorrow at school. Tomorrow is our first day of classes. We received all the things that you sent us - perfumes, chocolates, watches, cassette and money. We always receive the money that you send us. Sometimes we just forget to mention it to you. Lina and I were not able to go with Auntie Charito to Lily�s place because we had no maid then and Auntie Charito needed us to be here at home. We still have no maid until now. Tomorrow is Auntie Charito�s birthday. O sige ma, take care. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you. Irene |
